Student Activists Take Up Gun Control
The mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida on Feb. 14 has revived a heated debate over gun control -- only this time, young people are leading the charge. Their message to adults: You haven’t done enough to stop gun violence. Students across the country are staging demonstrations, rallies and walkouts, calling for lawmakers to take stronger action or face consequences at the polls this fall. We talk to two students to find out what Bay Area youth are doing to get their voices heard.

San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell
Last month, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors appointed Mark Farrell as mayor, ousting Board of Supervisors President London Breed, who served as acting mayor following the sudden death of Mayor Ed Lee in December. In June, San Francisco voters will elect a new mayor. But until then, Farrell will face a number of challenges, including rising homelessness as the city struggles to build more affordable housing.
