...is marred with potholes, apparently. Or at least the pavement is. Government statistics show about a fifth of San Jose's roads are in poor condition, and a recent survey released by an industry-funded transportation research group pegged the condition of San Jose pavement as the worst in the nation.

Yesterday, KQED anchor Joshua Johnson interviewed Hans Larsen, the acting Deputy Director of San Jose's Department of Transportation, about the state of the city's roads.
