Almost 93% of teachers agree (either somewhat or strongly) that digital resources and web-based programs help students’ academic achievement.

This comes from a joint project conducted by Good Magazine and Kiss Me I’m Polish, in conjunction with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The results are laid out in typical Good-style graphic design, showing very clearly what teachers really think about tech tools in the classroom.

Whereas 95% of teachers agree (strongly or somewhat) that technology engages students in learning, only 46% agree that traditional textbooks engage students in learning.

The information comes from “Primary Sources: America’s Teachers on America’s Schools,” a comprehensive study undertaken by Scholastic and the Gates Foundation.

    Digital resources are important but along with we need for students to understand to not accept all information for face value and do some critical analysis. Sear engine results for example need to be questioned and reflected on depending the source. Yes, easier and more effective than textbook perhaps but the learning process of always questioning should not be altered.
