More than 2 million students take online courses, but that's just the tip of the iceberg, according to an article in Education Week. To reach every student in the country, the newly formed 50-member Digital Learning Council has a plan.
Create a set of best practices that would cover a range of digital learning issues, including: online and virtual schools, classroom technology, equity, security and privacy, and digital content.
The list of best practices should be made available by November or December, after which, the council will encourage states to jump on the bandwagon.
