{"id":1976,"date":"2013-07-26T13:05:08","date_gmt":"2013-07-26T20:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/?p=1976"},"modified":"2013-07-26T13:05:08","modified_gmt":"2013-07-26T20:05:08","slug":"themakingof","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ww2.kqed.org\/makingof\/2013\/07\/26\/themakingof\/","title":{"rendered":"The Making Of&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Making Of&#8230; was\u00a0part of a public radio experiment\u00a0called <a href=\"http:\/\/localore.net\">Localore<\/a>&#8211;10 independent producers collaborating with 10 public radio stations\u00a0around the nation, creating some of the new public radio programming of the future.\u00a0During this year long collaboration we explored The Making of the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/stories\/submerged-turntable\/\">Submerged Turntable<\/a>, The Making of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/2012\/11\/09\/the-making-of-a-violin\/\">a Violin<\/a>, The Un-Making of a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/2013\/06\/03\/the-unmaking-of-a-typewriter\/\">Typewriter<\/a>, The Making of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/2012\/10\/08\/tmo-homobile\/\">the Homobile<\/a> and much, much more. And nearly 30,000 people joined us when The Making Of&#8230; went <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/2013\/06\/07\/the-making-of-at-sfmoma\/\">live at SFMOMA<\/a> for three days, with 5 floors of the museum filled with the makers from across our community.<\/p>\n<p>While The Making Of&#8230; stories will no longer be airing on KQED, this blog remains active and we will still be taking in stories. The easiest way to submit your story is through <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kqed.org\/makingof\/studio\/\">Zeega<\/a>.
