Jacques Pépin Heart & Soul is chef Jacques Pépin's final television cooking series. The 26 programs were taped in the fall of 2014 in the KQED studios in San Francisco and at Jacques’ home in Connecticut. The series premieres September 12 on KQED 9 and will broadcast nationally on September 19, 2015.

The production process is quite complex and numerous teams of people were involved in making this program. Besides the actual set where the filming took place, there is a back kitchen staffed with a full crew where much of the food was prepared. There is also a tiny photo studio where final dishes were shot for the recipes that will reside on this website; a studio dedicated to housing kitchen appliances and set props as well as feeding the staff meals; the control room where the director, producer and other TV production staff monitored the taping; and the green room, which functioned as a painting studio for Jacques as well as a space for wardrobe and makeup. Here are some behind-the-scenes photos and videos captured in the back kitchen adjacent to the production studio at KQED.
