Since 2017, when he founded the “Need To Impeach” movement, billionaire environmentalist and democratic donor Tom Steyer has been urging lawmakers, funders and the public to push for impeachment of President Trump. Steyer says that the president, who he calls lawless and unfit, has committed at least 10 impeachable offenses, including obstruction of justice and collusion. But impeachment remains unpopular among voters, with only 39% supporting it, according to a recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll. We’ll talk to Steyer about why he thinks Trump should be removed from office ahead of the 2020 election, and about his new campaign to disbar Attorney General William Barr for allegedly lying to Congress.
