It’s been a hundred years since the Spanish flu infected millions worldwide but despite medical and technological gains, the world remains vulnerable to infectious disease. With recent outbreaks of Zika and Ebola, and the growing density of modern urban centers, disease management is an evolving challenge. Dr. Peter Piot, who helped lead the global responses to AIDS and the Ebola virus, joins Forum to discuss his decades-long career as a microbiologist and how society can prepare for the next big epidemic.

Guests:
Peter Piot, director and professor of global health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
