The Ryse Center’s upcoming production of “Richmond Renaissance” brings to life one of the legendary blues clubs or “juke joints” that thrived in north Richmond during the 1940s. In this segment, we’ll talk to two of the show’s young producers and a historian about the city’s early economic prosperity and rich cultural heritage.
