Silicon Valley tech leaders including Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg and Apple’s Tim Cook are headed to Trump Tower in New York City on Wednesday to meet with President-elect Donald Trump. The meeting may be an awkward one, as many tech leaders supported Hillary Clinton for president. For his part, Trump has criticized Apple for manufacturing products outside the U.S. and accused Facebook of hiding news articles critical of Clinton. And while Silicon Valley leaders might agree with some of Trump’s policies such as reducing the corporate tax rate, concerns remain that he opposes net neutrality and will restrict the use of H-1B Visas. We’ll preview the meeting and discuss what the technology sector can expect from a Trump presidency.
