Gwen Ifill, longtime co-anchor and managing editor of PBS NewsHour and moderator of “Washington Week,” died Monday from complications of cancer. Ifill was a beloved and groundbreaking journalist, a black woman in a field dominated by men. She covered eight presidential campaigns and moderated two vice-presidential debates. Before spending 17 years with PBS, Ifill covered politics for major newspapers including the New York Times and the Washington Post. Forum talks with Ifill’s colleagues about her life and journalism.
