San Francisco’s tallest residential building is sinking. The 58-story Millennium Tower has dropped 16 inches and tilted two inches since it was completed in 2009. San Francisco Supervisor Aaron Peskin this week said those who bought apartments in the luxury tower have “arguably been defrauded.” Peskin called for a hearing to explore why city officials approved constructing the building on landfill, rather than bedrock, and why homeowners weren’t notified of that decision. Forum discusses the causes and dangers of SOMA’s sinking tower.

Guests:

Aaron Peskin, member, San Francisco Board of Supervisors; represents District 3, which includes North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square and the Financial District

Andy Ross, columnist, San Francisco Chronicle
