Ah, Florida. Home to 167 trillion mosquitoes, tourists with sunburnt skin the color of Hawaiian Punch and retired grandparents with very long nose hairs. That’s according to humorist Dave Barry, who knows a thing or two about Florida life after 30-plus years in the Sunshine State. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Miami Herald columnist both lauds and lovingly mocks his home state in his new book, “BEST. STATE. EVER.: A Florida Man Defends His Homeland.” He joins us in-studio to talk about the hanging chads of 2000, the swamplands and strip clubs, and why people are always asking him, “What the hell is wrong with Florida?”

Guests:

Dave Barry, humorist, syndicated columnist, screenwriter and author of books including "BEST. STATE. EVER.: A Florida Man Defends His Homeland"
