“If writing were a person, you would be in an abusive relationship.” So says award-winning author and poet Kim Addonzio, whose career as a writer hasn’t always been pretty. In her new memoir, “Bukowski in a Sundress: Confessions from a Writing Life,” the Bay Area native shares stories of vodka in coffee mugs, online dating, motherhood and, most of all, her dedication to the craft of writing. In this hour of Forum, we’ll talk to Addonizio about her new book and the struggle of writing.

Guests:

Kim Addonizio, author, "Bukowski in a Sundress: Confessions from a Writing Life"; author of five poetry collections, including "Lucifer at the Starlite"
