The MacArthur Foundation is famous for its “genius” awards, which grant no-strings-attached gifts of $625,000 to people who display exceptional talent and innovation in their work. Now, the foundation is looking to make an even bigger impact in the world. They’re offering to put $100 million behind a single big idea that can solve a major social problem.
