One in five University of California students reported cutting back on food due to limited resources in the past year according to a survey released Monday. Of the students reporting that they were “food insecure,” 29 percent told the university system that they also had trouble studying because of hunger. We’ll discuss the results of the survey and hear how the UC system plans to address the issue, including spending $3.3 million they have pledged to improve food access.
