Turkey declared a national day of mourning after a terrorist attack hit Istanbul’s Ataturk airport on Tuesday, killing 42 people, including 13 foreign nationals. Early indications are that Islamic State is responsible, but IS rarely claims responsibility for attacks inside Turkey. We’ll get an update on the attack, and we’ll discuss how the formerly stable country is struggling with Kurdish militants and – with its 500 mile border with Syria – is vulnerable to Islamist violence.
