San Jose Assemblyman Kansen Chu is pushing a bill to end daylight saving time. Chu introduced Assembly Bill 2496 after receiving numerous complaints from elderly residents in his district who said the one-hour time difference disrupts their sleeping patterns. If the bill is passed by the legislature and the ballot measure is approved by voters, California would become the third state after Arizona and Hawaii to abstain from using daylight saving time. Some experts join Forum to talk about the history of DST and what will happen if California decides to stop adjusting its clocks.

Kansen Chu, California assemblyman (D-25th district)
