San Jose Assemblyman Kansen Chu is pushing a bill to end daylight saving time. Chu introduced Assembly Bill 2496 after receiving numerous complaints from elderly residents in his district who said the one-hour time difference disrupts their sleeping patterns. If the bill is passed by the legislature and the ballot measure is approved by voters, California would become the third state after Arizona and Hawaii to abstain from using daylight saving time.
