As high housing prices have driven artists, musicians and bohemians out of San Francisco, many have bemoaned that the city has lost its cultural soul. But writer Gary Kamiya says there is still a thriving experimental counterculture, from the Ecosexuals of San Francisco to a mysterious stamp society. Forum talks with Kamiya about the the city’s hidden history and underground scenes.
