The NCAA passed reforms Thursday that will grant schools in the major conferences, including the Pac-12, greater freedom to spend on their football and basketball players. The new rules allow recruiters to offer more spending money to athletes, and to increase the value of their scholarships. Critics argue that the reforms will only worsen the wealth-gap between powerhouse programs and schools in smaller conferences, as well as bring student-athletes one step closer to being professionals.

Guests:

Lynn Holzman, commissioner of the West Coast Conference, a Division 1 athletic conference consisting of 10 member schools across California, Utah and Washington

Jamie Zaninovich, deputy commissioner and chief operating officer of the Pac-12 Conference, a 12-member Division 1 collegiate conference operating across the western United States
