Three students at San Jose State University were charged with battery and hate crimes last week, after allegedly bullying their African-American roommate for months, calling him racial slurs, assaulting him, and decorating their apartment with swastikas and a Confederate flag. We examine the state of race relations on college campuses in light of the incident.
