Nell Scovell has produced, directed and written for scores of classic shows like “The Simpsons,” “Late Night with David Letterman” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” Her new book “Just the Funny Parts” is part memoir, part survival story. It recounts Scovell’s 30 years working in the male-dominated entertainment field, her collaboration with Sheryl Sandberg on “Lean In” and the creative process she used to write jokes for President Obama. She also offers some wisdom for aspiring writers. Scovell joins Forum to discuss “Just the Funny Parts.”
