California’s Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, never shy about expressing her feelings about the Trump administration, spoke out again during her State of the Judiciary address last week, saying the country is facing “… unprecedented disruption, attacks on the free press, threats to the rule of civility, the Rule of Law, and judicial independence.” The Chief Justice also renewed her calls to abolish money bail and to restore the court’s civil division, which was gutted during the recession. Cantil-Sakauye joins us to talk about all that and take your questions, too.
