Google has threatened to pull out of China following scores of hacking attempts on Gmail accounts belonging to human rights advocates. A Google spokesman says in addition that the company is no longer willing to abide by the Chinese government’s requirement of censoring results on Google’s Chinese web pages. We talk with Internet experts about the significance of Google’s announcement.
