The Pew Internet and American Life project has just released a study on how and why teens are sending sexually suggestive, nude or nearly nude images via text messaging. We discuss the issues after checking in with Rob Schmitz, KQED’s Los Angeles bureau chief currently covering the climate summit in Copenhagen.

Guests:

Amanda Lenhart, senior research specialist at the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project and author of the new study "Teens and 'Sexting'"

Nicholas Weiss, interim director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at UCSF

Marisa Nightingale, senior adviser at the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy

Peter Keane, dean emeritus and professor of law at Golden Gate University Law School
