The Youth Advisory Board is back for year two! This fall we invited six returning members and nine brand new students to help us shape our content and fulfill our mission of including youth voice in our production process.

Their primary roles:

  • Hear pitches from KQED staff on new products and media
  • Provide feedback on current and future KQED media and education tools
  • Produce an episode of KQED’s hit new YouTube series, Above the Noise

Last year, the Board’s impact was felt throughout our department and across the KQED community. Their feedback directly shaped the look and feel of our YouTube series, Above the Noise, and members had the opportunity to represent the YAB at public events, conferences, and even on KQED’s airwaves! We’re ready for what is sure to be another great year.

Meet the 15 high school students helping to shape our content and tools.
