Do you use media in your classroom in powerful ways? KQED is currently recruiting a cohort of middle and high school educators to tell stories about their experiences integrating media making into their classroom for KQED’s In The Classroom blog. We’re looking for stories from educators with diverse experiences who have a passion for media and storytelling, along with the understanding that sometimes our imperfect experiences often lead to the best stories and the best learning.
KQED’s In The Classroom blog is written by educators, for educators – highlighting the creative, innovative and successful practices educators have used to integrate media use and media making into their learning environments. We hope these stories inspire the journey of others, both beginners and veterans, who want to bring media more effectively into their classrooms.

Details:
- Writers need to be currently serving students directly.
- Writers receive $125 per story for up to five stories during the 2016-17 school year.
- Stories are between 750-1000 words.
- Each story tells about a specific experience integrating media into the classroom.
