There is just over one week left for youth, ages 11 to 18, to join in KQED’s #EngineerThat student media challenge!

Students have until Sunday,  January 24, to engineer their own solutions to problems found in their communities or schools, and share their solutions using #EngineerThat.

Looking for inspiration? Find helpful tips for how to get started here. Learn more about the criteria for submitting solutions with this guide.  You can also view a recorded webinar with Andrea Aust, Senior Manager of Science Education, and Annelise Wunderlich, Youth Participation Manager, who will help walk you through the process.

Educators, don’t miss this great opportunity to engage your students in the engineering design process.  The California Academy of Sciences’ Teen Think Tank will select their favorite solutions for us to share with the KQED audience in early February.

The deadline is approaching!  Confirm your students’ submissions to the #EngineerThat challenge today!
