Why does character matter? What are the skills you need to flourish in the 21st Century? A global “cloud filmmaking” project led by Tiffany Shlain launched with a film about The Science of Character, and she is now gathering entries from students, teachers and communities for a new film, The Adaptable Mind. Use your mobile device to capture your own thoughts about adaptability and the necessary skills for contemporary life, then submit your video LetItRipple.org for a chance to be included in a film that will be a catalyst for worldwide discussion. In the video below, Shlain provides more details.

On September 18, 2015, more than 4,000 events around the world are scheduled on Character Day, a one-day global movement to strengthen our world through character development. Schools and communities will screen short films about character, host discussions, and log on to a Google Hangout with hundreds of thousands of participants around the world.

Online materials for Character Day include discussion questions for different age ranges (elementary school, middle school, high school, college/university/adult), and a robust site that offers a deeper dive into resources for each of the character strengths. Materials can be seen at LetItRipple.org.
