Summer can be a great opportunity for exploring a variety of interests. The break from school offers a chance to tap into learning opportunities during free time. This summer series will entice students to engage with a variety of popular videos, animations and interactives from KQED and PBS LearningMedia.  With this first feature, students can watch this lighthearted animation that tells the story of groundwater, where it comes from and where it goes before jumping into a lake, stream or lagoon. This animation is part of a four part series on groundwater from Nebraska Educational Telecommunications – NET.

The Cost of Water
Bottled water costs more than you think! See the comparison of a gallon of gas to a bottle of spring water. This slideshow visually compares the costs of bottled water to tap water. The up-front bottle costs run high, but the post-costs to the environment are even more expensive.
