“Americans at Heart” examines both the federal and California versions of the Dream Act and looks at the potential impact these pieces of legislation would have on immigrant youth.

It also looks at the opposite side of the argument and efforts to repeal the California Dream Act. Through interviews with community organizers, politicians, and students, the KDOL-TV youth video team brings us a story of education and opportunity.

This film was shown at the Rise to the Occasion Youth Media Festival in 2012.
