City Slicker Farms transforms abandoned lots and backyards into urban gardens that provide fresh, organic produce to West Oakland residents. The community has worked to revitalize this historically neglected and isolated neighborhood. “Cultivating Community” is a documentary about the role of City Slicker Farms in this process.

This film was shown at the KQED Science Youth Media Festival in 2012.
