Oakland Airport

Oakland Airport - I FLY OAK - Park close. Fly on time.Oakland International is the airport closest to a majority of the San Francisco Bay Area’s nearly 7 million residents and serves 52 local communities. In addition to its proximity to residents and most Bay Area businesses, OAK also offers visitors easy access to various attractions and other tourism opportunities.

In May 2014, Norwegian Air Shuttle begins service from Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo Norway, using the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. These new nonstop flights are the first offered from these Scandinavian capitals to the Bay Area, and they add to the airport’s more than 300 daily passenger and cargo flights.

Oakland International Airport also offers expanded nonstop service to Mexico, Hawaii, Chicago, and all across the USA.

By fall 2014, the airport expects to launch its world-class, 100 percent electric train-to-plane connection between the BART Coliseum Station and the airport. This mass transit improvement is just one more way that OAK provides travelers with frequent, fast and reliable service.
