Apply to be a Guest

The Check, Please! Bay Area team is looking for new guests to share the restaurants — and dishes — they can’t get enough of!

Have a go-to local eatery in the Bay Area? Now’s your opportunity to wow the producers and share your love for your favorite dining destinations (think restaurants, supper clubs, diners, lunch cafes, food trucks, bakeries, etc.) We’re looking for charismatic Bay Area residents to share their recommendations for the most delectable dining experiences out there, and we want to hear from you!

We’re excited to welcome guests to KQED’s state-of-the-art studio space in San Francisco to join host Leslie Sbrocco to celebrate the places and dishes that keep us coming back again and again. From savory appetizers and entrees to sinful desserts, we want to hear about the culinary creations you’ll go out of your way to try.

Whether you’re in Sunnyvale, Sonoma, or anywhere in between, it’s time to share your top-notch picks with the rest of us. We make every effort not to feature any restaurant more than once, so please check which restaurants have already been included on the show by consulting our Restaurants A-Z list before you submit your application. While we love to hear from former guests (and appreciate the way you share your new favorite spots with gusto!), we are currently only reviewing applications from those who have not previously appeared on Check, Please! Bay Area or Check, Please! You Gotta Try This!

To be considered as a guest, please complete the application below. Remember, the more expressive and detailed you are on this application form, the more likely it is that you will be considered as a guest. Don’t sweat the technical aspects too much; we’re mainly interested in discovering more about you and why you love your chosen spots so much. We’re always eager to hear about those restaurants that are off the beaten path — the more interesting the locale or cuisine, the better. Good luck!
