Leslie SbroccoMy name is Leslie Sbrocco and I'm the host of Check, Please! Bay Area. Each week, I will be sharing my tasting notes about the wine the guests and I drank on set during the taping of the show.

Wines of the Week: KQED Wine Club
Our guests enjoyed these two delicious offerings from the KQED Wine Club.

2006 A to Z Pinot Blanc, Oregon
This winery’s tag line is “Aristocratic wines at democratic prices” and their affordable, juicy Pinot Gris is packed with sweet apricot and peach notes. Sip alongside spicy pumpkin curry.

2004 Les Hauts Lastour Coteaux du Quercy, France
This complex blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Tannat is aromatic and elegant but still broad-shouldered and bold. If you have a pork chop topped with mushrooms, grab a bottle of this beauty.
