There’s always a lot of circus acts this time of year, none of them more deserving of your attention then Cirque du Boheme, which packs a lot of magic into an intimate show. Michel Michelis is the ringmaster for this French style circus, and he recruits performers from Europe and around the US for his annual holiday show. The theme this year, he told me, is hope, just right for a region recovering from the fires.
“Everything can continue with hope,” he said. “Even if you lose everything, life continues, and you can rebuild. I know it’s not easy, but hope is the best feeling you can have at this dramatic time.”
Michelis says the circus has given away more than a hundred tickets to kids and their parents who’ve lost their homes. Details here.
