Wilsen comes to the Cafe du Nord (Photo: Courtesy of Wilsen)

Tamsin Wilson makes songs that string out fascinating ideas and images over cool bass lines with a few guitar chords and electronics. (Ignore the conspicuous vowel change from her family name to the band name: Wilsen). The music is very personal, and lovely, and we wanted to feature one small show on our fall preview that’s cheap ($12 at the door), under the radar, and worthy. It’s good she’s playing the intimate Cafe Du Nord on Sept. 14; details here
