Entertainers Danny Glover, David Cross and Patton Oswalt have joined the cast of Sorry To Bother You, the directorial debut from rapid-fire rapper Boots Riley. The online entertainment publication Deadline.com announced the expansion of the cast on Wednesday.

Riley, who performs with the band The Coup, and crew began shooting the comedy fantasy sci-fi film in Riley’s hometown of Oakland last month.

“Boom. All this amazing talent coming together to make Sorry To Bother You fly,” Riley wrote on his Facebook page about the casting update.

The new additions round-out an already star-packed cast that includes Lakeith Stanfield (Get Out, Selma) Tessa Thompson (Creed, Selma), Armie Hammer (Birth Of A Nation, The Lone Ranger), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Okja) and Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Idiocracy).

The film, which is about a black telemarketer who discovers a magical key to success in business, was written by 46-year-old Riley, who once worked as a tele-fundraiser. Riley studied film at San Francisco State before his music career took off, and workshopped Sorry To Bother You last year at the Sundance Directors Lab.
