pARTicipate-button-400x400Steppin’ is a mellowed-out version of Lindy Hop that came out of Chicago in the 1970s and has since become popular in the Bay Area. The dance form is about creating a constant flow between partners. It’s is especially popular in cities with large African-American communities, where with a little soul and hip-hop sprinkled in, it’s winning over dancers from ages 20 to 70.
