Friday, Oct. 23 – Sunday, Oct. 25: The San Francisco Early Music Society Presents the Archetti Ensemble. The Society opens its 40th season with the renowned baroque chamber group. Details here. 

Saturday, Oct. 24 – Sunday, Oct. 25: SF Moby Dick Marathon. Melville’s classic tale comes to life with over 100 readers and performers, alongside food trucks, locally-brewed beer, and plenty of coffee to keep readers and listeners sustained throughout. Free; details here. 

Sunday, Oct. 25: Montalvo Art Center’s OneBeat Music Festival. The culmination of a two-week musical residency where OneBeat Fellows collaborated to invent new musical works, record and produce tracks in custom-built mobile studios, design public engagement workshops, and more. Wednesday, Oct. 28: The Bird & the Bee. Blue-eyed soul and R&B from Inara George and Greg Kurstin, who’ll play tunes from their latest record at The Social Hall, one of the newest venues in SF. Details here. 

Thursday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Nov. 1: George Clinton and P-Funk. George Clinton is touring with P-Funk again, after releasing a new album of material, as well as promoting his memoir, ‘Brothers Be, Yo Like George, Ain’t That Funkin’ Kinda Hard On You?’ This is one 74-year-old who still knows how to party. Now through Nov. 15: Marga Gomez’s ‘Pound.’ Gomez explores a “cinematic lesbian limbo,” of dry spells, online dating, plumbers, showgirls, murderers and school teachers. Details here.
