As KQED Arts interns we could not be happier to have gotten our jobs. And while our boss, Mark Taylor, is a daily dose of sunshine [editor: HA!], there is no substitute for the real deal. In the past few weeks a surprisingly sunny San Francisco has greeted us from our office windows just as we started compiling a guide to outdoor summer arts activities. As we researched each tantalizing option, it became increasingly clear that we were stuck at desks in the tiny cubicle we share. Now that the guide is completed, we can finally have our day in the sun — as long as global warming keeps San Francisco’s “fog-ust” (fog plus August) at bay. With a whopping 54 art events, our various guides highlight places to go if you’re stuck babysitting or just want to make fun of drunk adults all while supporting local artists and keeping it “hella classy.” But here are the events you’ll definitely spot us at this summer — you’ll be able to recognize us by our pale skin.

The Bay Bridged and Tiny Telephone presents a music and food fueled festival. We know we’ll be posted at Kung Fu tacos chowing down amongst the many gourmet food trucks available, while rocking out to some jams by performers like The Fresh & Onlys and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
