Video of the Week: Fan-Made

Every Monday, the KQED Arts blog features a new Video of the Week to start the work week off right.

MTV and VH1 did away with all things music in exchange for reality shows about pregnant teens and little known rappers looking for love. So it’s a pretty rare occasion that one comes across the almost extinct beast called a good music video. Earlier this year, Grizzly Bear rose to the challenge and released a pretty fantastic video (full of exploding choir boy heads) for their single “Two Weeks.” But now a fan-made video for the same song has come along to blow its predecessor out of the water. If the official video was a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of the music video form, Gabe Askew’s CGI-heavy video is a full-on electric shock to its heart.

If you have any crazy sexy cool videos of your own, share them with us and we’ll consider them for future installments of Video of the Week!
