The recovery is just beginning for residents in Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties, and once again we’re highlighting ways to support the arts and raise funds for the North Bay. As my co-host A-lan Holt, a playwright and associate director at Stanford’s Institute for Diversity in the Arts, says, “We support you. We support you. We support you.”

On the Do List this week, we had fun, too, talking about a Day of the Dead opera at Brava in San Francisco, a jazz salute to Japanese American veterans at the Presidio, and two hot singers: Son Little and Lizzo.

Nov. 3: An army of skeletons fights colonialism in a Day of the Dead opera.

Nov. 3: A Napa fundraiser for fire relief featuring LeAnn Rimes at the Margrit Mondavi Theater in the JaM Cellars Ballroom.

Nov. 4–6: The Santa Rosa Symphony explores the power of music to heal and transform, with free tickets for those who’ve lost their homes.

Nov. 18: The folks at BottleRock present For the Love of Sonoma: A Benefit Concert to Support the North Bay Fire Relief Efforts featuring Counting Crows.
