Bay Area Circus Stars Shine in Cirque du Soleil's 'Luzia'

Four Bay Area natives can currently be found under the big top performing as part of Cirque du Soleil’s latest touring extravaganza, Luzia.

Siblings Marta and Devin Henderson, as well as Maya Kesselman and Dominic Cruz, all trained at the Circus Center in San Francisco.

“Not only did these students train with us, but they trained with each other at the same time here,” says Circus Center executive director Barry Kendall. “And they’ve made working together almost like a family.”

In the video above, watch the artists perform daring feats like hoop diving and pole climbing for their roles in Luzia.
