Our political, electoral and judicial systems have begun to show signs of strain that may threaten the security of racial, religious and ethnic minority communities. The Jewish Community Relations Council’s Waging Democracy is a day-long forum that includes seminars, sessions and opportunities for action. As part of the program Audrey Cooper, editor-in-chief of the San Francisco Chronicle will be in conversation with Marisa Lagos, political reporter at KQED, on the crucial role a free media plays in informing the public in our democracy. KQED is a co-sponsor of this event.
