Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise (American Masters)

Dr. Angelou has become a global symbol of peace, humility, and freedom —  but parts of her story are not well known. Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise will reflect on how the events of history, culture, and the arts shaped Dr. Angelou's life and how she, in turn, helped shape our own worldview through her autobiographical literature and activism.  Interested in seeing the film? We've partnered with WNET to give away five pairs of tickets to the theatrical release at San Francisco's AMC Van Ness 14 theater.

To be in with a chance of winning them, just send an email to giveaway@kqed.org with the subject "MAYA" that contains your full name and the date and venue of your choice.

From all entries we'll randomly select five winners for a pair of tickets (worth up to $20 per pair.) Deadline to enter is Thursday, October 13 at 11:59 pm. Winners will be notified and receive passes via e-mail on Friday. You must be a California resident and 18 years or older to participate. Employees of KQED are not eligible to enter.
