Join KQED's Truly CASF DocFest and the Roxie for a screening of the film Queen Mimi!

Defying an adulterous husband at age 55, Marie “Mimi” Haist sought a better life, and ended up on the streets of Los Angeles. At age 70 Mimi found her way to a Santa Monica Laundromat where she has lived for 18 years. Mimi’s ‘the past is the past’ philosophy endeared her to regular fluff and fold clients and, after more than 20 years, Mimi has made some unlikely friends, ranging from local loves to Hollywood A-listers Zach Galifianakis and Renee Zellweger.

To have a chance of winning them, just send an email to trulyca@kqed.org  with the subject "Queen Mimi" that contains your full name.

From all entries we'll randomly select two winners for a pair of tickets (worth $12 per ticket.) Deadline to enter is Friday, June 12th at 11:59am PST. Winners will be notified by e-mail on Friday afternoon and tickets will be held at Will Call. You must be a California resident and 18 years or older to participate. Employees of KQED are not eligible to enter.
