Excitement is mounting over our Downton Abbey Super Fan Party on Wednesday, February 25, to be held in a top-secret San Francisco location. It’s now time for our second drawing to win one of 100 tickets to this exclusive event!

Your second Downton Abbey Super Fan Party challenge is:

2. On Saturday, ‘follow’ Lady Edith to a British-style pub in Oakland

Where?
The Growlers’ Arms, 4214 Park Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94602 (map)

When?
11am-3pm on Saturday, January 17. Find the friendly KQED staff member inside The Growlers’ Arms, fill out a form and you’re entered into this week’s drawing to win one of 20 tickets (with each ticket giving entry for two people to the Super Fan Party!)
Please note that the Growlers’ Arms will not be open for food/drinks at that time.

Why here?

As an aspiring writer, we know Lady Edith would enjoy Oakland’s creativity and verve, and this British-style gastropub tucked away in the Glenview neighborhood of the city offers an authentic taste of the English countryside. Plus, let’s be honest: after her trials and tribulations in the show, she deserves a little fun “down the pub.”

If you are lucky enough to win one of the tickets in our first drawing, you will receive an email by 2pm on Monday, January 19 with the details on the party. Once you’ve confirmed your acceptance of the ticket, we will mail you this special Edith ticket!

If if you’re not lucky this time around, stay tuned: you’ve got three more Saturday draws (in San Jose, San Mateo and Sausalito) to enter, and next week we’ll be announcing our third Bay Area location in which to enter the drawing. In the meantime: we’ll see you, Downton Super Fans, at The Growlers’ Arms on Saturday.
