Watch this entire Truly CA short film: One Plastic Beach by filmmakers by Tess Thackara and Eric Slatkin. (Running Time: 7:55)
One Plastic Beach profiles artists Richard Lang and Judith Selby Lang. For more than ten years, the Langs have been collecting plastic debris off of one beach in Northern California. Each piece that they select comes back to their house to get cleaned, categorized, and stored before being used in their artwork. The couple make sculptures, prints, jewelry, and installations with their endless supply of found items, raising a deeper concern with the problem of pollution in our seas.
