The 2012 International AIDS Conference starts Sunday in Washington, D.C. More than 25,000 people from around the world will gather to discuss all aspects of the pandemic. The non-partisan Kaiser Family Foundation (not affiliated with Kaiser Permanente) has put together this 10 question quiz for you to test your knowledge.

Once you’ve completed the quiz, the Foundation gives a short summary of each topic and links for more information.

Lisa Aliferis is the founding editor of KQED’s State of Health blog. Since 2011, she’s been writing and editing stories for the site. Before taking up blogging, she toiled for many years (more than we can count) producing health stories for television, including Dateline NBC and San Francisco’s CBS affiliate, KPIX-TV. She also wrote up a handy guide to the Affordable Care Act, especially for Californians. Her work has been honored for many awards.
